The issue

The Marines now need resources to maintain a bridgehead on the Dnipro left bank and evacuate the wounded to the right bank of the river for qualified medical care without delay.

The Ukrainian soldiers have been trying to force the Dnipro for a long time, and although the blewing up of the Kakhovska HPP slowed them down, it could not stop them. For a long time, information about these operations was limited, but now it is known that the Ukrainian forces have been holding a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region for several months. On February 6, it was recorded that the marines raised the Ukrainian flag on the water tower in Krynky.

Solution

In the absence of pontoon crossings, under heavy fire from the enemy drones, the only possible means of transporting people are small boats. Various watercraft are used for operations on the Dnipro left bank and evacuations from there. Often these are RIB, PVC boats, and their engines.

The following factors should be taken into account when choosing the watercraft:

  • the load capacity
  • the weight of the boat itself
  • the ability to develop the necessary speed
  • engine volume
  • and, most importantly, the specifics of the tasks to be performed on it.

After discussion with the Brigades it was decided to purchase 4 sets of HD460M boats with MERCURY M40MLH engines and 2 sets of Whaly 350 boats with HONDA BF50 LRTZ engines.

Within the project’s framework we have managed to collect UAH 3 057 360, which exceeded the initial goal of UAH 3 000 000. We purchased and sent to the Marine Brigades:

the 35th Marine Brigade:

  • Polyethylene motor boats WHALY 435 – 2 pcs.
  • HONDA BF50 LRTZ engines – 2 pcs.
  • Trailers for transporting boats “VOYAGER” – 2 pcs.

the 36th Marine Brigade:

  • HD460M multifunctional boats – 2 pcs.
  • MERCURY M40MLH engines – 2 pcs.
  • Trailers for transporting boats “VOYAGER” – 2 pcs.

the 38th Marine Brigade:

  • HD460M multifunctional boats – 2 pcs.
  • MERCURY M40MLH engines – 2 pcs.

Means of electronic warfare to improve the safety of evacuations for the 37th Marine Brigade

Together, in just 3 weeks, we have provided the Marines with necessary resources so they can continue to ccomplish their missions and save lives.
